Welcome to the Hanover Area Food Shelf!

Families who use the Food Shelf can come in TWICE a calendar month.   The first visit is for a three meal per day, four day supply of food.  The second visit is a modified amount from the first visit.

We also invite all clients to come on Wednesdays and Fridays at the end of the day (after 1:30) to pick up additional produce and bakery in addition to normal visits.

At the time of check-in, we ask for two items with a current address listed (no junk mail please).  This is done to keep families in the right geographic areas and using the right food shelf.

The Hanover Food Shelf serves:

  • Hanover
  • Rural Buffalo
  • St. Michael
  • Albertville
  • Part of Loretto
  • Part of Corcoran

After signing in, families then fill out a grocery list which in turn our volunteers “shop” from shelves and pack in boxes and bags. All items that are distributed must be weighed.

Thanks to many generous donors, not only do we have dry goods, but dairy items, bakery goods and meat.

We are also fortunate to provide personal items such as shampoo, toothpaste and laundry detergent.
